Gate valves

Rod and plate gate valves are used for closing and opening coal or other material hopper outlet. It is generally built of single-phase compensator between the outlet of tank and device that dispenses material for further transport.

Total closing of the outlet is necessary during filling of the empty tank or in case of failure of dispensing device located behind the tank. 

Depending on the size of the tank outlet gate valves may be single or multi-segment. Location of the removable segments (rod or plate) in the gate valve is not limited, because they are separately driven by the drive unit. Drive unit of the gate valve is built within the frame. Rod gate valve consist of welded frame, rod segments, slide bars and power unit.

Rod or plate gate valves may have electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic drive or may be driven manually. ELEWATOR S.A. produces rod and plate gate valves adapted to individual customer's needs in accordance with operation and constructional requirements.
